What is included ?

Vehicle
For individuals or parties of two we use a large saloon (sedan). For three to four people a medium sized People Carrier (Mini-Van) or for four to seven people a large People Carrier. All vehicles have air-conditioning. All costs relating to the vehicle are included – fuel, insurance, etc. All rates quoted relate to the vehicle with driver/guide – not per person.

Driver/Guide
The services of your driver/guide throughout, and where relevant, there overnight expenses are included in any quote. You are not obliged to cover any other costs in relation to your driver/guide, i.e. lunch, etc. On extended trips this service will  generally be available to you for up to nine hours per day (not hard and fast), and when required your driver/guide will stay overnight close to your chosen accommodation.

Insurance
The vehicle is fully insured for hire and reward through Royal Sun Alliance, and we carry additional public liability insurance provided by Towergate Underwriting. We will be happy to provide evidence of this insurance cover on request.

Not included

Guest Accommodation
We do not generally arrange, book, or pre-pay guest accommodation. However we are more than happy to provide ideas, and contact details for accommodation we might recommend in each area.

Ferries, Tolls, Parking
Unless otherwise agreed these costs are not included.

Entry Fees
Unless otherwise agreed these costs are not included.

Gratuities
This is totally at the discretion of guests, and therefore not included.

Travel Insurance
This is not included, and we strongly advise that you arrange for this cover independently through your travel agent or broker.

General Notes

Our cancellation policy varies according to the type of tour booked. Notification of this cancellation policy will be provided prior to booking. Where services not directly supplied by Private Tour Scotland are booked on behalf of guests the whole of the relevant amount will be payable on booking.

In addition to working with guests in order to come up with a personalized itinerary we are equally happy to work with your travel agent. We generally recommend that you use a travel agent, and can in many cases can put you in touch with agents who have specialist knowledge of Scotland as a destination.
